Jory M. Mickelson is an MFA candidate at the University of Idaho. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Oranges & Sardines, Free Verse, Knockout, New Mexico Poetry Review and Ghost Ocean. He maintains the writing blog, Literary Magpie (www.jorymickelson.blogspot.com) and is the nonfiction editor of the literary magaine, 5×5 (www.5x5litmag.org). His poem, “Middle Burntfork, Good Friday” won the Academy of American Poet’s Prize for the University of Idaho in 2011.
